Dr. Kevin N. Wood is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering department specializing in electrochemical energy storage devices.

Dr. Kevin N. Wood is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering department specializing in electrochemical energy storage devices. Before joining SDSU Kevin was an adjunct professor in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering department at the Colorado school of Mines and postdoctoral researcher at both the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He specializes in interfacial design, electrochemistry, batteries and renewable energy technology.  During his career, he has been awarded a National Science Foundation GK-12 Fellowship, a Joint Undertaking for an African Materials Institute (JUAMI) Fellowship, and been named as an NREL Key Contributor.
